7 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. 8 They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”
Anxiety also has a positive influence upon us for it drives us to confront our misfortunes, thereby encouraging us to create a solution releasing us from harm's way.
An unwillingness to face up to matters that are troubling us leads us down a lonely alley into depression, where indifference lurks with malevolent purpose disabling the bewildered victim.
The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
~ Deuteronomy 31:8
Our Father is joyous whenever we approach Him for assistance in those moments when life's trials appear to overwhelm us, stripping us of our capacity to cope leading us into a pit filled with self pity calculated to deny us our birth right to live in freedom from fear.
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. ~ 1 Peter 5

Psalm 40
1 I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. 2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. 3 He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the LORD and put their trust in him.
