God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.
Erich Fromm's words on freedom, and failure echo the thought that our freedom from fear rescues us from our constant struggle with our insecurities, striving to make sense of our daily living experiences teaching us we can do better than worry over our sense of failure, when understanding that we succeed when making the effort to further our plans.
Success is not always a matter of attaining our goal but of constantly making the effort to realise our objective, thereby learning that our struggle to succeed builds our self confidence, encouraging us to remain patient with our easy tendency to surrender to our fear of failing.
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you face trials of many kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance, and perseverance must finish its work in order for you to be mature and complete." ~ James 1:2-4
Our Father is very well aware of our circumstances day in, day out encouraging each of us to press forward with those plans that He seeds into our conscious awareness, as if to say that all will be well whenever we do all that He asks of us, knowing that His presence is constantly at our side assisting us.
Perceptions of failure are life's invitation to keep trying, never to surrender to the belief that success is beyond our capacity, whenever our shadow self intervenes to plead with us to stop wasting our time over a matter better left to others.
Beware lest you lose the substance by grasping at the shadow ~ Aesop
