Your analogy is quite false, Alex. Saints Peter and Paul, at the dawn of Christianity, were striving to establish the foundations of doctrine. In our time, two millennia later, after many Councils, the Deposit of the Faith is well and truly established and documented. Cardinal Müller is comparing the Pope’s teaching to that body of documented doctrine, and finding it wanting, Cardinal Kasper has no right to gainsay that.
To indicate that the trivial matter of sport is commensurate with the magnitude of the abandonment of the Faith detailed by Cardinal Müller is pathetically facetious.

Who would have believed that two cardinals could disagree The Apostles Peter, and Paul had many disagreements in the early years of their ministry...in due time they would reconcile and become good friends.
This morning I much prefer to catch up with the weekend's football reports, much more interesting reading.
