God only knows what's REALLY behind the tragedy of Syria. As usual, the machinations of men for power and profit come at a great HUMAN COST.
"Welcome to the free world
Where nothing’s as it seems
Tell me, can you find a cure
When you can’t see, and you can’t feel the disease
Can you seek a higher truth
When you’re living on your knees
Where freedom grows from blood soaked soil
In the lands of hypocrisy
'Cause if you can’t see the chains tell me what use is a key
It’s cash, blood and oil, in the age of the refugee
They’re trying to buy our minds, we ain’t selling
Bang, bang, bang, hear they’re nailing down the coffins
Cut the strings, feel your heart start
Cut the cord
Crack this code of silence
All our lives in the hands of tyrants. "*

I quote:
Most people know that Christians in the Middle East have recently endured severe persecution at the hands of ISIS. But most people don’t know that, for years, a brotherhood of men have been quietly and vigilantly working behind the scenes on behalf of those Christians. These men are the Knights of Columbus, the largest Catholic fraternal organization in the world.
Here in Greece Syrian refugees are a visible reminder that the consequences of war spill over into surrounding countries already over flowing with refugees from other countries such as Afghanistan. Speaking with a Syrian refugee this morning I was surprised by his optimistic frame of mind, despite having lost his home, and livelihood he was confident that in good time he would be able to return to Syria to re-establish his life working as a car mechanic, and reconnect with his family, and friends.
