Many years ago I was sufficiently bold to ask my theology teacher why it was so important to spend so much time discussing theological matters when God's presence in every human person provides each of us with all the answers we would ever need.
The teacher was wise enough to inform me that my/our journey of self discovery would in due time answer that question. So it has, and does.
During His visit to The Temple at 12 years of age Jesus assumed the role of teacher speaking before those old enough to believe that their school days were well behind them. Yet none among His audience challenged Jesus, there being an awareness that His words were not those of a 12 year old village boy, but of One whose presence among them taught them that God speaks as He wills.
Learning is an ongoing process that ceases at our death, there being an understanding that the school of hard knocks never gives up on the pupil who understands that the more he learns, the more there is worth learning.
The real mystery of life is not a problem to be solved, it is a reality to be experienced ~J.J. Van der Leeuw
We discover God's presence in our life when we choose to dive in the deep end experiencing all that life invites us to live for.
Life's mysteries are never better understood than when being experienced, by exploring everything that our inner most inspiration encourages us to participate in. The journey is its own reward when we begin to realise that our daily lessons are the stepping stones leading us to where The Author of our life's story invites us to participate in His adventure of our life time.
The riddles of God are more satisfying than the solutions of man. ~G. K. Chesterton
