They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”
~Jeremiah 17:7-8
From the beginning The Father has always communicated with His human creation through a covenant relationship that binds the two parties in a loving relationship.
Covenant is understood to be "an alliance, a pledge, a treaty, an ordinance, a compact." Scripture testifies to the desire of Our Creator to underwrite the needs of every human person who trusts Him to provide for all that is necessary to journey through life.
Living by faith in The Eternal Father evidences that our sight has been expanded beyond the limitations imposed by the senses. No longer do we rely upon our outer self to guide us through our life's adventures, for The Saviour provides us with all our needs enabling us to journey with total security.
Reciprocation is the foundation of The Covenant that we freely agree to honour, leading Our Father to help those whom He sends to us, that we may honour our side of the agreement we have made of our own free will.
When we are called upon to sacrifice the gifts that Divine Providence has bestowed on us to advance Our Father's agenda, there is an immediate understanding that He will imbue us with the strength and means to do all that He asks of us.
I the LORD have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and give you for a covenant of the people…
~Isaiah 42:6
