"God alone suffices" .. therein lies our TRUE FREEDOM.
Pray for us...Good and Awesome Saint Teresa!
“Have courage for the great sorrows of life and patience for the small ones; and when you have laboriously accomplished your daily task, go to sleep in peace. God is awake.” ~ Victor Hugo
Through our daily experiences we teach our selves the value of patience, by patiently remaining steadfast when facing our trials, sent to us to grow our resolve never to surrender to our fear of failure.
Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe. ~Saint Augustine
Have faith... is the call of the source of our very being inviting us to resist the urge to abandon our trust in His friendship during those moments when dark clouds gather amidst a raging storm. It is during our trials that our faithfulness is tested, while also being aware that Our Father will never test us beyond our capacity to endure.
“Let nothing disturb thee; Let nothing dismay thee; All thing pass; God never changes. Patience attains All that it strives for. He who has God Finds he lacks nothing:God alone suffices.” ~ St. Teresa of Avila
God tests us so we may discover that we can improve on the person we were yesterday. Just like any other assessment our trials inform us where we stand, and where we need to grow. Our development into a wiser adult invites us to confront everything that life sends our way, to equip us with the awareness that there is a remedy in transit for those who wait patiently on God's loving intervention.
Through our struggles we develop remedies that lead us to grow wiser, enabling us to better cope with our next adventure, waiting in anticipation of providing us with all that we will need, to score another victory over our easy choice to surrender to our fears.
“Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better take things as they come along with patience and equanimity.” ~ Carl Jung
