For most people our preparation for sleep is time to reminisce on the ebbing day, slipping into yesterday where once we trod our way through our struggles, determined to teach us how best to respond to life's appeal to celebrate life's summons to live well, before death visits insisting that we pay the debt that life bequeaths on all who live.
Those moments that we employ to sift through the events of yesterday's experiences provide us with the opportunity to understand, and learn from all that life daily teaches us to better prepare for tomorrow's tasks inviting us to live another day.
When it comes to life the critical thing is, whether you take things for granted or take them with gratitude. ~G.K. Chesterton
Nothing comes to us by random chance for life has its way of sending us its gifts that we may participate in the dance reserved for every human person, notwithstanding that our Host asks for nothing more than that we share our abundance with our dance partners, especially selected to add value to our celebration of life's good fortune.
It has been said that there is more to the appearances of chance than our choices might evidence, when today life presents us with an opportunity to step outside our well rehearsed sense of security by selecting a path opening in front of us as if to say, that randomness is well orchestrated by the author responsible for composing everything that happens to enable us to live a life, worth dying for.
Psalm 39
5 You have made my days a mere handbreadth;
the span of my years is as nothing before you.
Everyone is but a breath, even those who seem secure.
6 Surely everyone goes around like a mere phantom; in vain they rush about, heaping up wealth without knowing whose it will finally be.
