"I wear the chain I forged in life," replied the Ghost. "I made it link by link, and yard by yard; I girded it on of my own free will, and of my own free will I wore it.” ~ Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol
Taking responsibility for our actions, and failure to act is synonymous with turning a blind eye to that which we should correct, especially when it is within our power to so do.
Here lies the rub for faith in God is never the result of observing external practices, or debating the academic...but of practising what we say, we believe knowing that trust in God is never a matter of observing laws, or paying lip service to maintain outward appearances.
Luke 6:31 (NIV)
