Random babble about MA ALex doll.....

I was dusting off my MA Alex Millennium ball (?) and just realized what a mash up of a doll she is.
Red head in a pony tail
pale pink nail polish
amber and clear bead necklace and bracelet
heavy black knit midriff sweater top
gray taffeta ball gown skirt with pearl details

Soooo.. all these different colors don't really go together.

The bare midriff with the "diamond" belly button invokes Brittany Spears at that time.
I love the skirt and I can live with the top but I really need to replace the jewelry.

Strange that it took 20 years for me to notice this. Guess my meds just kicked in.

I actually think it was a conscious choice NOT to match for that doll>>

Some of the 2000 era designs were deliberately off center. Look at the competition from other brands on the market like SuperDoll, when you could reliably assume nothing would match, but that the mismatch was on purpose.

Besides the jewelry exchange, all black? pearls and silver? You could really go to town,

I'd get her some ankle boots.

traditional glamour. I think Dior - and on the high street Coast - did a number of similar looks with taffeta ball skirts and knitted tops.
