I remember when this floral dress was given out at a Sandra event ...

Sandra told us that due to fabric scarcity, the dress would be available in both a light and darker version. They were handed out to us randomly, but most people had a secret favorite. I received my favorite and after the distribution people were seen trading with each other to get the one they wanted most. Later I realized they were both fabulous and I would have been thrilled with whichever I got.

I amy be out of touch, but are there not going to be any more conventions?

materials being a large part of it.

I so glad I went to the one in 2024! I was wonderful as was the Edith Head exhibit. Nm

Thanks George! I was concerned and I did not think about the Tariffs, Glad to hear that there will be some later.

TW. She has said the production nightmares with overseas have been something else.

I've heard that so many of the factories that used to make clothes for 16" dolls ...

are no longer in business, so it's hard to find a manufacturer. Sandra always liked to link her events with a fashion or costuming exhibit. Those things stopped dead with covid, and haven't come back in the way we were used to. Add in tariffs, inflation and economic uncertainty, and it's a tough time to be trying to stage a doll event. I hope things will get better.

You are so right. Either version is gorgeous.
