When you are doing a display of dolls, are there themes you like? Mine tend to be color-coded to holidays, but sometimes I do occupations, or suits, or playwear or cocktail attire. Gowns sneak in here and there, but my display space is limited, and some of those gowns need their own zip code. What do you like to do for a doll grouping?

Holidays, "around the world" costumes, nods to favorite movies/old TV shows, era specific events....

themes in which I can incorporate my vintage collections, color themed, etc. etc. etc. Thinking of themes is an important part of my displays.

When I find a fashion that I think absolutely works for that doll...

...despite boxes of other fashion I have neither the time or inclination to constantly turn them over... but I do look forward to the day when I can do that.

Megan themed holiday displays are a monthly delight, all her little accessories are so clever. The folks who take such gorgeous photographs just have so much talent.
I have limited display space and only 3 dolls so my usual route is a theme for the girls. They were just in pink and white for Valentines Day, suits and SSP Grace Kelly dress. At the holidays the colors didn’t match but they were all dressed in long elegant gowns. I’ll be switching them out for B&W suits soon.

Dorothy: Who’s that?
Scarecrow: A strange man with an axe and a can of lube. I’ll ask if he wants to join us?

the gift of putting together vignettes like most of you. Megin in Bend comes to mind. I really enjoy seeing how folks put together their dolls for a photo and display. Space is always an issue for some of us.

Your displays always have a story or theme, the are a joy. I generally do room scenes with families

I like holidays, occasions , themes, colors, patterns. I guess I like everything for pictures

Most of the time Dolls sit or stand near other dolls but in their own look. I will do like colors or styles but I dress one at a time. I still work so to busy to play. Love to look. Love viewing all of the collectors pictures and ideas.
