After several months of dealing with a fall injury, then minor surgery on my hand, I can't wait to get back to my sewing!

I've already done quite a bit of downsizing and may do more this year as I pack things up for an anticipated relocation. Right now I only have one doll out, and she will be my companion on the journey. Already she is anticipating a trip with her travel suit from Sandra Stillwell Presents.

Another project I hope to have completed this year is a travel trunk for the doll, which will hold her and a selection of outfits and accessories. The bones of the trunk are a used 18 inch doll trunk from Our Generation. Right now it's in pieces and I will be working on that over the next couple of months.

I would also like to get a little sewing in if possible. I have some fabric from a vintage dress that my mother owned. It is an adorable strawberry print on a lightweight crêpe.

I think that will be plenty for me this year! I can only hope that I don't add any more projects into the mix.

from your mothers dress... Its best to keep things to a manageable level I find less stress than having lots of things on the go.

Yes, I love projects but have to remind myself to keep to 1 or 2 at a time.

A lot of dresses already made, but continue to add accessories to in order to have complete outfits to sell. Sarong dresses were a big hit a few years ago, multi-piece suit separates, and gowns last year, so I am always looking for what people want.

I'll be posting outfits on the sales page soon as I am finishing up my current projects.

I start, I stop, I redress someone and then I can't sell her. My biggest problem is that I can't seem to post pictures in the boards any longer. I do OK on the facebook groups but I haven't ventured into many of those groups as it's more comfortable here and on Prego. I have many Ellowyne dolls that I still adore but it's time some of them go to other collectors. No one knows me on the Ennui site so I'm hesitant to post and then ask them to email me for pictures. They may think I'm shady LOL. I do have a couple friends who will sell my dolls at a small doll show up around Chicago and they have helped me a lot, mostly Tonners. I still can't seem to let go of my Genes. Another problem I seem to have - as I'm researching prices, I see dolls I have wanted and end up buying here and there. It's an obsession!

unless a grail drops in my lap. I had surgery at the end of 2025, and even with insurance I'll have some large outstanding bills. So probably not anything new, and I'll be skipping the Volks LA Dolpa as well.

I do want to go through all of the clothing and accessories I do have, both for my Gene line dolls and my BJDs, and get a handle on what I have, what I want to keep, and what I want to let go of. I also want to do more redressing of my Gene line dolls and take more photos. They have taken a back seat to my BJDs the last couple of years.

Its a great plan... to really check what is super important to keep

dolls displayed but I also have shelves of dollsin a closet lined up like soldiers that I barely look at. A few days ago I started sorting those into love, can go and maybes. My dilemma now: is it better to let them the “go” dolls now or wait a few weeks and see if I still feel the same way.

on BJD dolls I find that the most difficult... of course there are certain 16" doll dresses that are very tricky as well...

again it is difficult to let them go. I really love all the dolls I collect. So varied among 12 inch to 16 inch. I really love my guys dolls,but my new obsession is the Aquatalis dolls. I am SLOWLY trying to cull the herd, but we all know how difficult that is.

The primary candidates for crowd control are the big BJDs, 60 up to 70 cm, but I haven't even researched that market.

Then, the Numina and the Ficons. I loved them all when I bought them, but many are untouched in their boxes, so they should make someone else happy. I just want my money back, not looking to price gouge. They are expensive dolls so the potential buyers are fewer in number, and it may take some time.

The recurring problem is getting a doll out to prep for sales, and falling in love all over again.

too, but am looking for a few of the dolls that have caught my eye. I started with four and now I have seven. Most of them I bought without original costumes and a few without original wigs. I stopped collecting Integrity because I'm not adding to my 12 inch dolls, although I have bought a few Silkstone Barbies in the past few years. I also have some Tonner Ellowyne dolls. My favorite dolls are Mdvanii dolls and those I stopped adding to my collection about 10 years ago mostly due to prices. Now that I'm retired I do have to downsize and try not to add anymore - but boy is that hard.

Integrity boys and Adonis boys only now. Occasionally I a random doll will come along that interests me. I don't collect 12" girls any more but I just got the Nymphia Wind last week and love her. She is so pretty in her package I don't want to unbox her.
So I will continue with those lines. What I really need to do is sell off so much I have in storage but I start looking at them and I cant let them go.

I switched her to head 2 & I think she now looks like the real Nymphia Wind.

I like the replacement head so much better.

she frightened me then as she was the most expensive doll I ever bought and I worried about damaging her... so sold her to a lady in Japan - have spent the last 10 years trying to find her again
