c'mon. I just saw a photo of Princess Beatrice at a charity something, outside, wearing a somewhat matronly tea length day dress. Totally appropriate. Very pretty. But no slip, especially at an outdoor event. Full legs visible all the way to her crotch.

I get we are in modern times. But you aren't at the beach and it's not just a coverup. Formal royal garden party and the first thought is not she looks so pretty, but I can tell what color panties she has on.

I'm too old for this modern world. Old man grump is what I am, lol

Jackie, you got my mind started down this rabbit hole with poor Ida's bellybutton.

Princess Beatrice seems to be from a family that isn't big on propriety.

When Calvin Klein did away with interfacings and sometimes linings, the bean counters got on board. The public did not, and after a while, the under layers reappeared.

Now, not to line a skirt, on what's probably a custom dress, is cutting too many corners.
