The gown and doll were a Dealer’s Exclusive and a huge hit but to qualify to buy her you had to sign up for the entire line, which caused much angst among collectors.
Or not.
As I mentioned, the memory card seems to have a few holes in it these days so it’s not as reliable. But I do remember seeing this gorgeous doll dressed in a dramatic gown at a collector’s show and talking to the dealer about how to buy her. I really wanted Black Widow so when she told me I had to sign up for that season’s line, I had to think about it. But I did succumb to Madras’s spell eventually.
