This gal, Suited to a T, was the doll that got me interested in the Gene Marshall dolls because she reminded me of my mother. She was my first Gene, new, in her original outfit. She is so beautiful.

I've been out of touch here for a very long time and I want to say hello again.

I had a tragic disk failure a few months ago and the external drive upon which ALL my photos were saved died. Using an outside service I was able to retrieve about 25% of it's contents. Not much there. Flickr and Apple's 'photos' built-in app are contributing some but there was so much lost.
Perhaps it was a message that it was time to move ahead and let go of a lot of the past. We moved houses and it's apparent that I have to let go of stuff as well.
Whatever...
So now, I am saving digital files in triplicate including using the cloud and that's set up to be automatic and slowly selling off a big part of my collection.

I will attempt to participate to the best of my ability and I hope to connect with some old friends.

My new user name is dolllover. Not terribly original but easy to remember for me.

I was recently encouraged to look at it as thinning the row so that the best can grow. That's the motto I'm taking as I look forward and let go as well.

Suited looks awesome in this outfit. Your mother must've been a very lovely lady.
