Not Gene, but a Gene Convention story with visual aids.

Convention goers were gifted this golden outfit by BOXPLEAT. Looking at all this I just think, "how on earth did she make all this?" ... The set was a jacket (with box pleats), a skirt, trousers, two halter tops both of which were reversable!!! One black/gold and one purple/teal, and two belts.
Now, at the time I was not a big fan of the color gold, I tried the outfit on a Gene and didn't fall in love. It went into a baggie and has languished in a drawer for eons. I decided to see how it would do on Madam Kim and.....taaa daaa! I am amazed that the slacks will go on ( the Madam body has a beach-ball butt so they do not close in the back). As long as Elenoir NEVER turns around, we're good. Another justification for being a Pack Rat! One note, Mme. Kim is wearing her Aquatalis body suit under her Boxpleat skirt and jacket.

Was this set gifted during the Tulsa convention? But Iʻm afraid I donʻt know who BOXPLEAT is. (Iʻve been doing too much work the last decade, so I am a bit out of it.) Is there a web page for BOXPLEAT? Many thanks!

I don't know if she's still sewing for dolls. But she did fabulous work.

I am also not a fan, but lots of people love the color. It's good to see such a pretty outfit put to use.
