It was the old Wanamaker's store downtown. My great aunt worked there in the 50's through the early 70's. Planning for the SSP Philly event Sandra and I went on a tour and saw the organ. I am not sure the tour was part of the event. It was a lovely old building. I hope they don't tear it down.

Philadelphia. The organ was played during one of my visits.
They closed our Los Angeles Downtown Macy's too!

I still have a necklace I purchased while touring this great building at the Stardust con.

I was there for the Stardust convention. There was a walking tour and I was fascinated by the organ

and it’s history. I went back for the Sunday concert. So glad I did. I hope they figure out some way to preserve it and keep playing it.

at the SSP event. (Or was it an IT tour?) I hope they leave everything in tact. Hopefully, it is considered a historic landmark!

How sad. They should make it an historical landmark.Irreplaceable.
