Wig play on JamieShow Evelyn

Despite my promises last year that the Liz was quite enough of the JamieShow Glamour collection, this past spring I fell for Evelyn, who arrived in late November.

These dolls have bodies similar to the Gene body, as opposed to the standard JamieShow body, which is a bit longer in the torso and, I think, a bit taller, with a slightly larger waistline measurement. That's about all the differences, though.

I liked the Evelyn doll because she was such a Hitchcock archetype "cool blonde" and because her lips were a softer color. I find I don't like dark lipstick that much, and have both avoided dolls that feature dark lips or bought them and had the lips redone. Just a personal preference.

So here are six wigs, in various styles and colors, some are Jamieshow wig caps, some are independent wig makers, all are new looks for my Evelyn doll, as she is shipped naked and bald.

I liked the whole collection, but I have to be a little sensible, at least some of the time!

and her lips are a very blue pink. Really interesting choices! She will be able to wear lots of different colors.

Wigs 1 and 2 both look great on her. For me, it's the fact that they seem less contemporary.

Intentional, I think. The Glamour Collection is meant to evoke an earlier time.

To me, it says 1950s and 1960s, and it's a softer look over all. This mood is underscored by the use of the Gene body, as opposed to the Jamieshow body.
I like them both. Glad I ordered Evelyn though, as most of my remaining Gene bodies are not in playworthy condition, being either discolored or brittle, or both.
The resins are holding up nicely.

Envisioning her as a Hitchcock "cool" blonde.
The idea was to try a wide assortment.
It's nice to have the choices, right there in the wig boxes!
