A happy dolly memory of Regina in NC (Rest in Peace)

Regina was also a Gene collector. She collected many lines. She attended at least 1 of the Gene IT conventions. However, I never rerooted any Gene for her, so this memory is not Gene related.
I'm not sure if there are any people left on my social media who recall this era, but 10+ years ago, I used to take reroot commissions. This was in the days of the Barbie Fan Club. Regina Thomasson literally kept my lights on at times by commissioning me back to back. I don't even think she opened some of them because she only displayed a few dolls at a time, I was churning them out fast. This is at her office at First Presbyterian in CLT. This was re-rooting a mainline doll to look like a convention centerpiece, so this puts this back when GWB was POTUS. She was genuinely happy and I'm glad I took pictures because it's better to remember people the way they were the majority of the time you had with them.
This weekend I added the pink orchid to go with the pink Minnie from last year. Each summer, I find myself near her final resting place, so I like to visit.
She did something right if she inspired a wonderful friendship like this...
