If you own Madame Alexander Cissy or have knowledge of this doll could you help

I am liquidating my Cissy collection. I took photos of one of mine a few days ago to put on EBay. the auction was to end Sunday. I took the doll out of the box today, and she fell apart at the waist. I was glad this happened to me and not a buyer. Anyway, I was wondering if I should just sell the outfit, or sell the doll as is so someone could restring her. Thoughts?

Gigi’s Dolls in Chicago does restringing of Cissy. I had one done about a year ago. I mailed the doll to them.

There are a number of people in the area here in SW Ohio who belong to the Madame Alexander Doll Club and you may be able to find buyers locally. Mary Ann Duffield's husband Gary does restringing, but I don't know if he does Cissy. PM me and I can get you in contact with him.

Gary does a great job on the small dolls. I can not recommend him for restringing a Cissy.

I am also a member of MADC and have no recommendation for Cissy restringing. The factory used to do it, and Noreen, the Doll Doctor at Robert Tonner used to do it, but they are not in business any longer.

it was fairly easy.

He may have to set up shop! I have a few as well that are floppy.

either from someone online or at a doll hospital, if there is one near you, to see if it would increase the resale value enough to make it worthwhile. There's one near me that does a lot of Madame Alexander work.

You Tube videos on "how to restring a doll" will be helpful.
