Because her hair is a similar style to how my mom wore it in the 1940s. Mom’s eyes were brown, not green, but the dress is one of my favorites and one that I think my mom would’ve loved, as she loved roses. When she’s not all dressed for Mother’s Day, this Jean/Gene, also wears the USO and That Extra Something nurse uniform, as Mom served in the European theater as a nurse in World War II.

So beautiful and such a great tribute.
