Display - at the library and home

I used to do displays at one of the libraries here in El Paso. These photos are really poor but I wanted to share three of my favorite props that always stay out in my house (except when at the library.) The bookshelf on the top right of the photo is filled with amazing books. I have two bookshelves but only one was in the library.

The top left of this photo shows two props that I adore. They are on a table in my living room and they are so lovely. I can decorate the shelving unit with so many different seasonal pretties.

This couch is another prop that lives in my living room at all times. Although many dolls live in my home (and for a moment or two get to use this couch), Gene (many different ones) is the doll that spends her time there.

Beautiful! And I love the kimono.

I have so many of Vicky's beautiful kimono. I always wondered where she sourced her great fabrics. Thanks for letting me know you like them too. Do you have a favorite of the two?

I am so glad that I did the displays. I did many different themes over the years. I may post a few photos in a new post to show the types of displays that I did.

I stopped because I was concerned about the dolls. We were having issues with the cases being unlocked for cleaning and not being locked after cleaning. The dolls were so valuable in some cases - about 20 Riley Kish and friends on one shelf.

I hope you can find a place to show a few dolls. It is a great goal for many of us.

Hopefully we can discuss it in a new post in a few days.
