And in case you're wondering why it's black and white gingham and a YELLOW blouse, this is almost certainly the dress Judy wore during the beginning and end scenes filmed in B&W. Yellow films as white in B&W film, and the B&W gingham would have filmed as blue in the viewers eyes. It's all very weird how colors had to change for different types of film. I'm sure you all know the other example of the RED ballgown worn by Bettie Davis in Jezebel was in reality a deep brown.

A friend of mine years ago volunteered at one of the charity exhibits of Princess Diana's dresses and got to know the owner of several of them. Apparently she tracked down one of the gowns which had been stuffed into a pillowcase and sat in the back of a closet for years!
