Remembering seeing her first in a doll magazine and knew I had to have her. She seemed so expensive! LOL. Waiting months to get that box and the joy of opening it. Gorgeous Red Venus. Was she really mine? The fashions to die for. The awakening of the internet and all the collectors slowly gathering online to share fun and ideas and news. And finding out about Mel and the whole designer group at Ashton Drake. I'm glad it has all evolved to become the worldwide phenomenon of Gene and her sisters. So happy that we still have The Studio Commissary too to help 'Keep the Dream Alive' Love to Gene and Mel! 30 years! Wow.
