I keep the outfit and its accessories together, in case I want to rehome or resell it later, but I also collect other accessories - Kingstate shoes, maybe some Franklin Mint jewelry, stuff like that. Those I keep in small compartmentalized boxes made for fishing lures or nuts and bolts. That way I can change the look of an outfit if I want to.
