It turned out that William Shatner got into acting because he wanted to be a Writer. His book series "TekWar" became a TV Series. He also wrote a series of Novels in which James T. Kirk was brought back from the dead to save the Universe again, only this time he gets the Girl in the end as well, so he gets his Happy Ending.
