She looked very familiar to me, but I had to look it up. She starred in one of my favorite movies - Deep in my Heart. She was married to famed photographer Richard Avedon, who used her as a muse, making her famous. She appeared later in movies like "Deep In My Heart" the semi-biopic of Sigmund Romberg (Jose Ferrer) as his wife. Romberg was the composer of The Student Prince, The Desert Song, The New Moon, and Maytime, and he is a favorite of mine. |
