I had an AD Gene with no earring hole on one side! I don’t know what happened at that facility. If your Gene is a JS my solution won’t help, their heads are too hard. But if she’s an AD or IT try this. Soften the head with a heating pad like you do when reattaching a head to neck. Don’t go too overboard, you don’t want to melt her hair. Using a sharp pencil mark where you want your holes. Then, using a pushpin (you need to really press hard so you need the pushpin cover) line up over the pencil dots and really push! A needle doesn’t give you enough grip. I only had to do this on one side but it did work. I’ve also “enlarged” a few holes over the years as different earrings from different factories aren’t all the same size. As reference, a number of earrings from SSP are slightly larger and need bigger holes. Not all, just some. Good luck!
