They advertised it as a limited series about the link between fashion and movies but they’re not much more than little conversations with Bob Mackie (so far) about costumes in movies. The segments appear before “fashion-notable” movies such as Sabrina, Tootsie, Now Voyager and are scheduled for Saturdays at 8pm. There’s also conversations after the movie so set extra time afterwards so you don’t miss anything. Since I watch Noir Alley which follows the fashion movie, the recording catches the few minutes of the end of the previous movie, which works for me. Don’t expect too much but it’s something. I was hoping for its own scheduled series so if you don’t see a separate listing for Follow the Thread, it’s not you. They will also air this on HBO later this month. Maybe it’ll be more cohesive there. |
