A very wise and experienced collector once told me to just snip it! So, that's what I do with those. Otherwise you end up making more of a mess by trying to tame it/them! Some things just yearn to be wild! And you never even notice it's gone. I only do this with great magnification, lighting, and tiny sharp scissors or snips. And I only snip a single strand at a time. I totally agree with Kelly on using water, and sometimes gel. I use a doll comb (I have several sizes) - including the back smooth toothless side at times. XO Helen
