Archived Message Posted by Donna in Fla on February 25, 2022, 12:01 pm how to download images off instagram I'm posting this as a "Show and Tell" of my experience doing a body swap using a Horsman Vita doll. Just in case anyone wants to know how one person did it. The lady in the back is a Midnight Romance that I body swapped with a Horsman Vita body. When I got the body I realized that would not be satisfied with a direct body replacement and have her look fairly natural in the process. First was that the neck, although longer wasn’t the only issue. Her shoulders were more horizontal, the neck was thicker, and the shoulder and clavicle area it was a lot more sculpted and athletic. In addition the skin color was a bit off. So, I pulled out my micro mesh sandpaper and sculpted the neck and shoulder area. I also cleaned up the joints on the arms, legs and torso, doing some filling in the process where needed. After this I watched a few reborning videos, and tried my hand at painting her body a lighter color. This part I’m not totally thrilled with the result, and it is a fragile finish so I may end up changing at least the leg section back to the original color. For now I’ll just have her wear long dresses 🤣 Since this was a non-Gene specific Horsman body, I also had to swap out the neck knob, which was its own little project. However I got it done and got the head in place. After that was restyling the hair and completing the repaint. So here is the finished product. Overall I’m happy with the result. The issue of the larger waist is still there, although I did sculpt that waist down a little bit. And she is taller than my other ladies, but all in all I think she looks pretty good. I placed an IT body swap repaint in front for comparison. I do like the fact that the Horsman body isn’t as tippy as the IT body. Would I do it again? Likely not, it was quite the process. Maybe with a Horsman Gene specific or a Poppy Parker body.
