Every year my doll club has a Travel Doll. Various members take her on vacation or stay-cation throughout the year. She gathers fashions and accessories for her wardrobe, and at the end of the year she is raffled off at our Holiday Party. One year the travel doll even got a house! Usually the Travel Doll is a 12", but next year she is 16", and I'm lucky enough to be the first one to take her home! She will go to New York with me in February, but until then she is enjoying herself getting to know my dolls. She is a Tonner Nu Mood long black wigged Sydney doll with Lilly skin tone. She also has removable feet that another member will be adding - flat and dance!! Last night she (who will be named at our January meeting) had a makeover into a Starlet and went to a Holiday gathering with Gene and Madra! I've included pics of her homecoming at the end. ~ Enjoy! Pleased to meet you, Gene!  Trimming the tree with new friends! (well, one at least!)  She glows in her new Kio Starlet wig and earrings by Facets.  Standing out amongst Marilyn and Shakespeare in the Park.  She's a beautiful Starlet, indeed!  My contribution to her wardrobe - so far ...  The 2022 Travel Doll arrives at my home after the Holiday party!   I gave her some shoes right away!  I have a feeling there will be many raffle tickets purchased at next year's Holiday party for a chance to own this beauty and all of her treasures to come! |
