There are several 1930 fashions represent in my Tonner Joan Crawford doll collection.
In 2006, I attended the Hollywood Ahoy! Convention in Long Beach. Joan Crawford’s grandson-Casey LaLonde was the final dinner event speaker. He shared home movies and told us stories about Joan Crawford. Our event doll was "Awards Night", the doll on the far left.
I found an interesting interview of Casey LaLonde. I would recommend listening to it. He talks about his grandmother, but also the Hollywood Ahoy! convention, Tonner's Joan Crawford collection, and doll collectors!!!!!! He said some interesting things about his Aunt Christina (which he shared with us at the event and in this interview), and the surprisingly unexpected impact "Mommie Dearest",the movie, had on Joan Crawford's legacy.
