I wanted to share a few photos of my newest doll who just arrived today...he is my first HUGE 1:3 doll (24" tall, I think) by Granado. I have one doll from them from a couple of years ago when they offered their dolls in 1:4 scale (Gene size)...the poor guy has only ONE thing to wear right now, a beautiful kimono I found on E-Bay for this scale...and no shoes yet, although I ordered him a pair today...and I need to shop Facets to see if she has any wigs big enough for him to wear....he is an Asian male face sculpt that was only used for this special...he is very poseable and HEAVY! I have not named him yet...my first thought was Ben...but I will think on it more...perhaps something in honor of some friends from my time living in Japan...thoughts? I took some "nudes" to show off this gorgeous sculpt, but I won't share them here...but I did post them on a few male doll sites on FB...he even has SCULPTED pubes, which is a first...sadly, there is no body blushing, so I might have to try my hand at doing that myself... Since this is my first in this larger scale, he doesn't have much of anything yet....perhaps some of you know some places to get his scale's wigs, outfits, shoes, and accessories...I will, of course, check out Facets, but any other ideas are definitely welcomed! I did buy the patterns by Jude for this scale, so perhaps I will attempt to sew something for him this summer...               Dennis in IN |
