I had hoped to show off this Costume when the Commissary had its working girl theme but it just wasn't ready yet.
Story line: Clea and DeeDee share shifts at Howie's Honey farm, working in the gift shop and the outdoor snack cafe. This is their sweet, little uniform, which was designed as separates so they can mix-match with future ensemble pieces.
This Costume Only project was conceived over a decade ago when I first fell in love with the fabric and bought yards upon yards of it. For those familiar with the Clea Bella Doll Line, you may recognize the bodice is a variation of our Mother's Day dress. (the pattern to be released soon) Getting a new embroidery machine allowed me to finally put this outfit into production.
As you can see, the costume is done but now I'm waiting for various tools and parts to arrive so I can finish the minis. (hint: little honey jars.) Hopefully it will be up on Etsy before the end of the month and I'm trying to keep the price point under $100 with a Limited Edition of 8. In the meantime, enjoy this sneak peek.
Bogie
Dee Dee agreed to put her little uniform on so you can see how cute she looks.
As usual, she's helping me with the sewing, making sure my threads are in their proper place.
Primary Fashion Parts include: Bodice, Skirt, Underskirt & Apron. Outfit will include black pumps and several minis.
