Unsure who here is also on the Tonner, Sell & Swap Facebook group, but we recently had a particularly cruel scammer take a solid buyer. She/he has been banned (as Isabella)💥but is recreating profiles on other collecting sites. 💥So it was a good time to remember some basic things, and obviously there are others, but along with listening to your gut, these help. Never send friends/family unless you are beyond 100% certain of the seller

Vet profiles for activity/posts on Facebook

Ask for references

Use google image search on any photo they post to see if it is on another selling platform or is even theirs

Pay close attention to the use of words/spelling or punctuation. Often scammers rely on google translate

Verify their address too. A simple search can bring up a vacant lot vs a residence.
