I watched the movie for the first time during my teen years. Being a horsey girl, I read anything and watched anything with horses as a main theme, and had my herd of Breyer model horses. I still am horsey and ride whenever I can.

I also read the book by Enid Bagnold about this time, which I confess, I enjoyed more than the movie. It always amused me that Hollywood made “Pie” a chestnut instead of a true piebald, which is a black horse with large areas of white.
