I've been MIA most of this fall, but I've been thinking about dolls a lot and popping in from time to time to see what you all are up to. One of the things I'm starting to deal with is helping my mother downsize her doll collection, and I'm going to try doing some live auctions on a platform called WHATNOT (see my links below).

Whatnot started as a place for people to buy and sell Pokemon cards and Funko pops, but it has been growing as an alternative to other selling platforms. Dolls were added as a category about two months ago, and they are actively looking for people to sell. Right now its mostly Barbie and Monster High sellers, but there are some people doing vintage dolls and trying more high end things, and I'm going to try and see what the market might be like for fashion dolls.

Anyway, that's a long way of saying, FRIENDS, PLEASE PLEASE come to my first live auction--if for nothing other than moral support! LOL.

Here are the details: Thursday, 12/15, at 4:15 pm EST. I plan to be on for an hour, if I can do it! It's my first one, and I'm nervous! I'll be doing mostly Madame Alexander for the first show (Wendy size, Cisette size, Alex size, plus a few odds and ends). I saw there is a lady doing Gene and Tonner later in the week so now is a good time to get in on this new way of selling and chatting about dolls--the interaction is what I've really enjoyed as a buyer.
