let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.
And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.
For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame,
and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners,
so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." Hebrews 12:1-3 HCSB
Just this week I have heard folks asking "why":
Why did Yeshua have to die?
Why did Yahweh let it happen?
Why didn't Yeshua call on His Angels to save Him?
Why didn't He just come down off the cross and destroy Rome?
Why did The Son of Yahweh have to be sacrificed?
Why? Why? Why?
"Foreknowledge"
From the beginning Yahweh knew.
But if He knew, why didn't He stop it?
"Free Will."
Yahweh doesn't want mindless robots.
He wants obedient children.
If He simply controlled our lives what kind of worship would He receive?
Think of it this way, how surprised would you be to open a gift you told someone to buy you?
I know that's a simplistic example, but it is accurate.
So Yahweh gives us free will to choose Him or to reject Him, simple as that.
Yeshua was beaten, mocked, humiliated and crucified for YOU.
Take it personally, make it personal, believe it personally.
This is the day Christian Churches around the world celebrate The Resurrection.
And it is important to know and trust this as fact.
Fact not fiction.
"For God so loved the world that He sent His One and Only Son..." John 3:16 HCSB
On this Resurrection Sunday let us never forget that Yeahua died for our sins, but only for the believers.
If we allow any sin to entangle us we can never see His rest.
We will always be outside of His will.
Please get the bread and cup ready.
On His final night, at His final Passover Feast:
"As they were eating,
Jesus took bread,
blessed and broke it,
gave it to the disciples,
and said,
"Take and eat it; this is My body."
Then He took a cup,
and after giving thanks,
He gave it to them and said,
"Drink from it,
all of you.
For this is My blood [that establishes] the covenant;
it is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins." Matthew 26:26-28 HCSB
Father in Heaven we come before You as Your trusting children,
please hear our praises and our prayers.
We thank You for Your many blessings that we often take for granted, and forgive us when we do.
Father be with us in this trying time,
bless and strengthen those who work to respond to emergency's,
including those who are the front line to react to this virus.
Father, if there is someone reading this who doesn't have a personal relationship with You I ask You to touch their hearts to Your presence.
Father we also ask forgiveness for our sins.
Help us Father in Yeshua Jesus Name, AMEN.
And now:
"The LORD bless you and keep you;
the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace."
Have a blessed week, in The Name of Yeshua!
