Sad, isn't it?
I searched Websters Dictionary Of The English Language 1828 and did not find the word "homophobia". In fact I searched several Dictionaries only to find the word has been added recently, very recently.
So, what does "homophobia" mean? If you Google the word you will find many "interesting" conversation threads as to its meaning, none of which I will quote or post links to.
There is a grave misunderstanding that is deliberately being used to build a power base to destroy The Church and Christianity. That "misunderstanding" is used against anyone who stands on The Word of God as it relates to homosexuality in its many forms.
If a Pastor or a Church refuses to perform same sex unions, well it must be homophobia!
If a Church refuses a Pastor because he is a homosexual, that must be homophobia too!
Any stance that does not absolutely affirm must be because of homophobia, right? Wrong.
God's Word clearly spells out that any Church, Denomination or Pastor that looks someone in the eye and says it's okay to be a homosexual is a liar. That's not me saying that, it's God saying that through His Word.
Love is the answer.
I know what you're thinking..."Whoa there, Pastor, didn't you just say that homosexuality is wrong in the eyes of God and now you bring up love?" Right?
Let me explain real love, the kind of love a soldier demonstrates in combat. He knows what needs to be done and he's willing to die to accomplish it. For us.
Yeshua, Jesus, came to this world and lived, taught and died. For us, for you personally. Can you understand this kind of love?
This is the kind of love that tells the truth no matter how unpopular it is. Elisha demonstrated that kind of love.
This is the kind of love we are all called to demonstrate to our neighbors, all of them.
This is the kind of love that calls us to show our neighbors the right path to fellowship with God, Yeshua, Jesus is the only path.
If you see a child reaching to touch a hot stove what do you do? Do you simply let him get hurt and say that he needed to learn this for himself? Do you warn the child and stop him from getting hurt in the first place?
It is the same for sin. Any sin. Sexual sins just seem to get the most attention in the media nowadays. And sexual sins seem to attract us more than others, but they are sins and need to be removed from our lives.
Within this collection of sexual sins we find homosexuality, be it male - male or female - female relationships it doesn't matter, they are both sins.
There are people saying that God is a liar and made them the wrong gender. To those people I say that you are the one who is wrong and if God made you male at your birth then you will be male at your death. It does not matter how much money you spend for sex change operations and hormone treatments, your real gender will remain. Male or Female, you can't change it. Trying is the big lie.
Folks, you can't trust "feelings".
A man cannot base his life on a "feeling".
A family does not do a child any good by promoting a homosexual lifestyle to their child.
Look at the facts, much higher suicide rate, depression, drug use, STD's and abuse.
No matter how many "victories" the homosexual groups win there will always be that nagging guilt. That knowledge that that screams that there is something wrong and then you realize it's the homosexual lifestyle.
What I am trying to say is don't touch the stove, don't get burned, turn to Yeshua, Jesus and receive His forgiveness.
The burn you get from the hot stove is temporary, it will heal.
The burn I am trying to keep you from is much hotter and doesn't heal. Ever.
Please turn from sin.
Turn to Yeshua, confess your sins and repent.
Live the life of freedom God wants for you,
reject the life of slavery Satan wants for you.

Father in heaven we come before you to confess our sins. We have rebelled against you and followed the ways of the evil one. Father I wish to confess the sexual sins that so easily ensnare me and I ask Your help in resisting the temptation to do evil in Your eyes.
Father I ask that you forgive my sins and make me whole and useful for Your purpose.
I pray this in the precious name of Yeshua, AMEN
