This is a very important prayer request...
Please Pray For Our Nation
Dear Heavenly Father, we praise You for You. Father we praise You for Your Word which like You is unchanging. We ask that Your mercy and grace be with us this day and forever, Amen.
Father, we come to You today to confess our sins and the sins of our nation. The nation You made possible, the nation that was built on Your Word. We can not count the blessings You have given us, but Lord have mercy on us for we have wasted your blessings and turned away from Your way. Lord we ask your forgiveness and mercy.
Lord, we need to pray for the pending Supreme Court decisions on same sex marriage. We pray that Your will be done and that we will not have a false definition of marriage imposed upon our nation. Lord GOD, I know and confess that the Church has not been faithful stewards of the gift of marriage through our own issues with adultery, divorce, pornography and selfishness. We ask Your forgiveness.
Lord, it seems as if our nation is now following after an evil example of what You set in motion. There are those who seek to destroy the institution of marriage in order to fulfill their own sinful lusts. Lord we know and accept Your definition of marriage as being one man and one woman till death do they part. Please Father, guide the Supreme Court decision to mirror You.
Your Word has taught us that if we confess and repent You are faithful to forgive, and that is what we are doing right now. Turning to You, Lord, confessing our sin and repenting of any way in our lives that is not pleasing to You. Father, guide us and keep us. Fill us with Your Spirit that our thoughts would be Your thoughts. Our actions, Your actions. Let us reflect Your love and not judge for You have called us to love and have told us that only You judge.
Help us to trust in You alone and not in the ideas of men.
We ask this in the precious Name of Jesus Christ, Your Son and our Savior,
Amen.
