And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served (that were beyond the flood) or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: but I and mine house will serve the Lord.
Then the people answered and said, God forbid, that we should forsake the Lord, to serve other gods.

...I told you to take your silly *$#@@* problem down the hall?" I've always loved that line but I've never had the nerve to actually use it on someone. Normally I get very upset when someone is offended by something I've said. It's never my intent to offend so I always turn it inward as if it's my fault they've become offended, even when I really have said nothing offensive. Lately, we have come to know a very nice Amish man who has helped us on the farm. His input regarding this subject has been extremely helpful to me. He says we cannot help it when people choose to take offense at something we've said when no offense was intended. That is their choice and we must leave them to God. Very wise words in my opinion and ones that I will heed. So for any who have taken offense either here or elsewhere, when no offense was intended, "would you be terribly offended if..."?
