Hi grumpyfred (good name).....Had a look on their website, could not find about it closing down...
https://www.sunshineradio.co.uk/monmouthshire/
so I asked google AI, "Is it Closing" and it said......

No, Sunshine Radio is not closing down completely, but it is making a major broadcasting change.
The station is permanently turning off its Medium Wave (AM) frequencies after 30 years on the air.

What is Changing?
• AM Frequency Closure: Ofcom approved the station's request to shut down its AM transmitters
due to incredibly high maintenance and running costs.
• Continued Broadcasting: The main station continues to operate as normal. Listeners in Herefordshire,
Monmouthshire, and Ludlow can still tune in via FM, DAB digital

Confusing,.... as AI also says...Sunshine Radio no longer uses an AM frequency;
it turned off its former AM transmitter (855 kHz) on 19 January 2024.
855 kHz (Villa Farm) Turned off on 19 January 2024

AI responses may include mistakes. (and it often does!)... (Like using info, from out of date websites)

So what?.. is closing Now?... (Not what closed 2 years ago)...... Confused?..I am
