I believe Droitwich was 1984, but Westerglen and Burghead were originally on BBC "home brew" transmitters from 1978. These were replaced with Marconi units when the service moved from 200kc/s to 198kc/s. 1988? 1989?

If they kept it till 2033 it would have hit a 100 year anniversary, but I guess the bean counters and managers at the Beeb care little for such history.

So, who will be the first to put a pirate on 198 ??
