There’s definitely a place for the nostalgia.

I suspect the presenters also enjoy music being made today — it’s usually dads and folks who stay with what they know who say “it was better in my day”. Steve Kent played a track from the 2025 Damned album (a covers album, as it turns out), which suggests there’s still an ear for newer releases.

Looking at the album channel this weekend, it’s a mix of well-known tracks, some unusual and newer material. People who love music — which surely includes the Spirit of the 70s audience — don’t stop discovering it.

In that sense, Caroline hasn’t stood still — it continues.
