New Zealand is such a quirky little country isolated in the middle of the south Pacific but back then it was like a little Britain..
In Australia at the time there was rumblings of offshore radio for Oz but it never materialised.
Electronics Australia and Electronics Today International from my fading memory used to cover what was happening in Europe under the title "International Waters".
In the mid/late 1970's Australia's pirate radio was mostly confined to the 27 mHz 11 metre band.. later in the 70's there was a little action on the FM broadcast band and some on Shortwave but it was very hit and miss.
