I notice the audio on the two Sunrise London AM transmission, 972kHz is approx 3 seconds ahead of the audio on the 'adjacent' 963kHz.
Is the lagging one fed by a DAB receiver, whilst the other has a direct feed from the studio?, or what is the explanation ??

Surely the audio as per licence modulating both, 9kHz apart, carrier frequencies should be identical ?? Which three seconds apart it isn't.


Any sideband interference between both 963 and 972 in areas where both 972 and 963 are similar strength (neither dominant) will be much less likely noticeable if the audio was "in synch" on both, especially during speech programming.

This will be an issue with receivers which actually produce good audio from AM reception (as opposed to ones limited to 3kHz or so audio as in many/most modern car radios with AM)
