Im not sure if he is being outrageous just as click-bait. Not at all in the spirit of Amateur radio.
FACT: If it were not for radio amateurs there would be no digital.
The advancement of science and development relies on the ability of mankind to experiment, to tinker and improve on all thats done previously.

(I wonder if the D-LW comment was simply mischievous, designed to elicit a reaction?)
