Radio Caroline is a small part of the radio subject.
It's far too restricted by "Ofcom don'ts", so cannot hold long term interest. Pirate and Free Radio can be anything the operator chooses, so it will always interest the Dx'ers and lovers of Free Radio. The beauty of Free Radio is it can develop, with anyone trying different ideas and simply enjoying themselves. I you don't like a particular Pirate, there are others to explore for new ideas and content. It lives, while other over regulated stuff loses interest, broadcasting to no one.
